How Brainrots Work

Brainrots are one of the main features of Plants vs Brainrots. They act as both enemies and income generators. When your plants eliminate a Brainrot that appears on the treadmill, you earn that exact Brainrot. Each one generates money over time, with income determined by its size (kg), rarity, and mutation.

Obtaining Brainrots

Brainrots can be acquired through normal gameplay — no admin or testing rights required. You can obtain them by:

• Eliminating Brainrots that appear on the treadmill
• Using the Fuse Machine
• Hatching eggs

Once captured, Brainrots generate passive income continuously. Heavier Brainrots produce more income. Rarer ones have higher health and are harder to obtain. Unwanted Brainrots can be sold to Barry for money.

Rarity and Health

Each Brainrot rarity defines its base health and general spawn difficulty. The rarer the Brainrot, the more health it has and the higher its potential income. Some rarities also have a chance to spawn with a visual mutation that boosts earnings.

Mutation System

Mutations are special visual transformations that multiply the income of both plants and brainrots. Each Brainrot can have only one mutation. They are primarily obtained through weather effects, events, or luck-based rolls. Below is a list of all known mutations and their respective multipliers:
