How Cards Work

Cards, also known as Player Cards, are collectible power-ups in Plants vs Brainrots that grant special advantages, effects, or stat boosts. Each card represents a unique ability, power, or passive effect — such as lightning strikes, increased income multipliers, higher luck, extra plant attacks, or amplified damage. You can build a deck of up to 5 cards once you’ve reached the maximum rebirth level.

Every card has its own rarity, collection number, and ability type that defines its value and strength in gameplay. Rarer cards tend to have stronger or more complex effects, while common ones provide simpler, early-game boosts.

Obtaining Cards

Cards can be obtained through multiple in-game methods, depending on their rarity and release type:

  • Opening Card Packs purchased in the shop
  • Completing Daily Quests or Event Challenges
  • Earning them as Event Rewards or Rebirth bonuses
  • Occasionally through special codes or Robux purchases

Cards cannot be traded at this time. However, future updates may add player-to-player trading or market systems.

Tiers and Upgrading

Most cards have three tiers. The first tier is obtained from a Card Pack. Merging 3 Tier 1 cards creates a Tier 2 card, which improves its base ability or stat. Merging 3 Tier 2 cards produces a Tier 3 card, which significantly boosts its strength and frequency.

Merges can be performed at the Card Merger located on Central Island. Tier upgrades not only enhance stats but may also change the card’s visual glow or animation.

Shiny Cards

Some cards have a Shiny variant — a rarer drop that further amplifies their effect or frequency. Shiny cards act as enhanced versions of their base counterparts, similar to higher tiers, but much rarer to obtain.

Rarity and Visuals

Card rarities define both their power potential and visual presentation. Rarer cards feature brighter outlines, glow effects, or animated frames. The following table lists all base rarity types and their colors:
